Qnamic’s Decision Support System (DSS) is currently in realisation and will be an integrated part of the RailOpt^®-Suite that is active during every planning phase (long-term, middle-term, short-term, operational).

Unique about DSS is its interaction with the planner. The planner is able to simulate and realise the following scenarios: automatic optimisation of services and trains based on resources, such as personnel and rolling stock or suggestion of solutions for services, constraint violation solving, minimisation of used resources

The planner is constantly aware of system actions in the background and is able to decide which suggested decisions he will accept. The heart of the DSS is its configurable algorithm. The planner is able to control the behaviour of the system by assessing and setting constraints violations

With the support of the Decision Support System, RailOpt’s planning modules are able to continuously improve. The outcome will be performance data that indicates which planning procedures still require improvement.
