Important fusion of BLS Inc. The merger between BLS Lötschbergbahn and Regionalverkehr Mittelland to BLS Inc. has been completed successfully. The objectives were achieved or even exceeded. 15 million Swiss Francs are the result of the synergy between the two companies. The new BLS Inc. is more efficient and achieves a higher productivity than the two railway operators alone. Hans Flury, in his function as a Deputy Director and CFO of BLS Inc., sees a contribution to the success also by Qnamic’s planning and production software RailOpt®. With RailOpt, BLS Inc. has been able to increase personnel productivity by 15% and improved the use of rolling stock by 10%. With its two-vendor-strategy, RailOpt provides BLS Inc. with the best conditions for the merger.
