Qnamic Inc. sponsors hill running through local Devil’s Gorge In Hägendorf, at the southern foot of the Jura Mountains, the 21st hill running through the local Devil’s Gorge (Tüfelsschlucht-Berglauf) took place, sponsored by Qnamic Inc. Last Friday, more than 600 runners gathered at the school Thalacker in Hägendorf to participate in the run. The unique challenge of this event is to run the 500m difference in altitude to the top, making for an average incline of 12%. The route of 8.3 km leads through small passes through the Devil’s Gorge, across bridges and pontoons, passing smooth ledges and overhanging caves up to the green grass of the Allerheiligenberg. For the association “Tüfelschlucht-Berglauf“, this event is important as a part of the Jura-Top-Tour, but also a good advertisement for the natural paradise in the area around Hägendorf. Anton Stocker, President of the Tüfelsschlucht-Berglauf, is quite satisfied with 648 sign-ups and 610 finishers: “It is our goal to organise a nice running event for the participants. We can only achieve this through the support of the municipality, volunteers and sponsors like Qnamic.” In the women’s category, the 18-year old Fiona Kirk won with a time of 38 minutes and 37 seconds. Matthias Merz celebrated a Start-to-Finish victory with a time of 33 minutes and 11 seconds in the men’s category.
