Contract with SOB AG signed at amazing heights The SOB AG (Switzerland) will be introducing the additional RailOpt module DIS to prepare and edit their order documents for driving personnel internally (see the news report from May 7, 2009). The official contract signing took place at a historically unique location: 99 meters above the earth, on top of the Sitter-viaduct – the highest railway bridge in Switzerland. Dirk Pfeiffer, CEO of Qnamic Inc.: “It was the most extraordinary contract signing I’ve ever taken part in, and it represents the solid foundation needed for the continuation of an excellent business relationship with SOB.” Using a trap door on the bridge, the SOB employees and Qnamic delegation convened on a scaffold platform directly beneath the bridge. From there, a breathtaking view presented itself. On this platform in the scaffold, the contract between SOB AG and Qnamic Inc. was signed on an improvised table. Guido Schoch, CEO of SOB AG, once again emphasised the importance of the introduction of RailOpt DIS and the excellent cooperation between SOB and Qnamic. During the guided tour of the Sitter-viaduct, the visitors received impressive details about construction technology and new expansions. With a length of 365 meters, the Sitter-viaduct is the key link between St. Gallen Haggen and Herisau. The mid-section beam has a length of 120 meters and weighs over 1000 tons. The SOB is one of the most architecturally rich railways in Switzerland. About an eighth of its infrastructure is built on bridges or in tunnels.
