Richard Roy strengthens Qnamic’s Board of Directors Richard Roy is the new member of the board of directors of the Swiss software company Qnamic Inc. Qnamic is looking to broaden its international position and increase its chances in the railway industry. Richard Roy will be replacing the previous member of the board Thomas Müller, who has left after six years with great esteem. Richard Roy (German citizen, born 1955) is replacing Thomas Müller (born 1960, Lawyer) in Qnamic’s board of directors. Thomas Müller is the general secretary and member of the management board of BLS AG, and has been a member of Qnamic’s board of directors since its inception in 2003. The career of Richard Roy is impressive: After graduating from the university of applied science as an engineer, he has worked in several leading positions at Hewlett Packard (HP), he was a member of the management board at Siemens Nixdorf AG as well as CEO of Microsoft Germany GmbH and Vice President of the corporate strategy department at Microsoft EMEA France. Today, Richard Roy is an independent consultant and holds several honorary jobs, such as vice president of the Swisscom AG board of directors as well as member of the supervisory board of Update Software AG. Dirk Pfeiffer, CEO and president of the board of directors of Qnamic Inc., is convinced of the strategic value of having Richard Roy as a member of the board. Next to expert knowledge of the IT sector, Richard Roy has a profound network in the industry. That is why Dirk Pfeiffer sees this as an immediate gain toward setting a standard with Intelligent Resource Management in the railway sector. Qnamic’s board of directors consists of four members: Dirk Pfeiffer, CEO of Qnamic Inc., who serves as the board’s president, Dr. Claudia Schmid, member of the board and CTO of Qnamic, as well as Hans Flury, deputy director and CFO of BLS AG and now Richard Roy, independent consultant. Qnamic Inc. is one of the leading providers of planning and production software solutions in the railway sector. This is proven by the software RailOpt, which is the only system worldwide to incorporate all involved resources across the entire value chain simultaneously. The stability, operability and usability of RailOpt has already been proven for years at known European railway companies, such as BLS AG (Switzerland), Südostbahn (Switzerland), SJ (Sweden), CFL (Luxembourg) and the rail service provider MEV AG (Switzerland).
