RailOpt DIS in Production at SOB Since the timetable change on the 13th December 2009, RailOpt DIS (Driver Information System) is in productive operation at Südostbahn SOB AG (Switzerland). Urs Oberholzer, RailOpt Project Manager at SOB AG, is convinced that SOB has made the right decision concerning RailOpt DIS: “RailOpt DIS was stable right from the start. The feedback from drivers, dispatchers and all the way up to top management has been solely positive.” The ambitious goal of implementing RailOpt DIS within 8 months at SOB AG was met through the very engaged participation of all involved employees at SOB AG. Further expansion of the mobile workspace for locomotive personnel is planned for 2010. RailOpt DIS is a service information system for locomotive personnel developed by Qnamic. Changes to shift plans, operative disturbances, etc. can be entered at the source, processed in RailOpt and distributed to all involved personnel quickly. |
