Qnamic Inc. present at suissetraffic with RailOpt DIS

At the suissetraffic in Berne (Switzerland), Qnamic Inc. will present its innovative driver information system RailOpt DIS for the access of drive orders on mobile devices.

On Wednesday, 11th November 2009, starting at 13:00 o’clock, Qnamic’s expert staff will be at BLS AG’s stand, hall 220, stand C051.

RailOpt DIS is a new, innovative driver information system that includes all relevant data that is necessary to operate trains.

The innovation in RailOpt DIS:
  • In unison with the current service plan, all run orders including current deviations, infrastructure data, speed limits and extra instructions are joined together within a single document.

  • The employees can access the drive order electronically, which automatically displays the current position and current relevant information.
The vision of RailOpt DIS is to provide train personnel with a “mobile office”. This concept saves paper and money and reduces the amount of errors in communication with its direct communication process. There is less bureaucracy and increased flexibility during operation.

RailOpt DIS will be placed in operation at SOB AG on the date of the timetable change, 13th December 2009: The driving personnel receive drive orders on a standard mobile notebook. The BLS AG will be putting RailOpt DIS into production in 2010.

The suissetraffic, international exposition for public transport, takes place on the 11th-14th November 2009 in Bern. More information can be found at www.suissetraffic.ch.
