SVSE Swiss Alpine Championships supported by Qnamic The Swiss Alpine / Cross-country Championships of the Swiss Public Railway Sport Union took place for the 76th time. The members met in Grindelwald to participate in single and group disciplines such as giant slalom, cross-country or alpine combination. Winners were Tamara Pellet of ESC Soldanella in the women’s division and Christian Fuhrer of the sport section BOB in the men’s division. But as always: Participation was everything. Next to the actual competition, the SVSE events are used to band together the various job types. For employees in public transit, it is often impossible to participate in normal sport clubs due to irregular working hours. This is why member enjoy the social aspect of the SVSE, which was organised completely by employees in public traffic, all the more. Qnamic gladly supports such an engagement, emphasizes Dirk Pfeiffer, CEO of Qnamic. This is why Qnamic has acted as main sponsor for the SVSE for several years. Remo Gatti, Head of SVSE Wintersport, mentioned that the support of responsible sponsors is vital to the SVSE, especially in times of economic troubles: “The organisation of events such as the Swiss championships mean a lot to us and are seen as the height of the season. The knowledge that such events are supported by our partners gives a certain sense of security and the possibility to keep the club alive.” The SVSE is umbrella organisation of sport-oriented organisations for employees in public traffic. The club is active in 18 different sports, represents 58 clubs and has over 9’200 members. The SVSE endorses amateur sport with the goal of enabling members to lead healthy lives and sensible free times. For more information, please refer to www.svse-sm-wispo.ch or www.svse.ch. |
